Life Skills

Independence Starts with Routine

From hygiene to cooking and budgeting, our life skills training is part of each day—helping residents gain confidence through real-world practice.

Helping Residents Grow Independence

Life at Center for Behavioral Change includes more than daily care—it includes meaningful skills for daily living. Our life skills program is built into each resident’s daily routine and focuses on simple, practical tools they can use for more independence.

Residents learn at their own pace, working on:

  • Personal hygiene and grooming
  • Meal prep and kitchen safety
  • Cleaning and laundry
  • Budgeting and shopping
  • Social and communication skills

Whether it’s setting the table, folding laundry, or learning how to ask for help, every small skill builds toward a more confident, self-directed life.

A Long-Term, Lower-Cost Solution

Compared to nursing homes, our Adult Residential Facilities offer a more affordable option for long-term, non-acute care—while still providing safety, structure, and dignity every day.
